About Me

Ranjit Singh Mathoda was born in Chandigarh, India.

He later attended the University of Illinois (where he barely escaped graduating with degrees in Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Science and Economics), Babson College (where he graduated with degrees in Finance and Operations Research), and Boston College Law School (where he obtained a juris doctorate).

He has worked for the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on a world trade treaty issue, at the once great law firm of Brobeck Phleger & Harrison on corporate matters, and for many years at the law firm of McGuireWoods on commercial real estate and corporate transactions. He has been the primary outside legal counsel to clients such asĀ  production company SekretAgent Productions and wireless startup Voce Wireless.

He paints, writes stories and poems, reads about a book a day, dabbles in designing clever things that may not change the world, and has spent the last few months studying the world’s best investment managers in excruciating amounts of detail for purposes that will become clear in the fullness of time.

He can be found on facebook, linkedin, goodreads, friendfeed, and in Los Angeles.

He is always curious to learn what smart, interesting people are trying to do, and can be reached via email at ranjit @ mathoda . com.

He wishes you well.
