my love lies dull now

in the shade of your regard

uncertainly flickers

and with certainty fades

in a dead coin,

on shores of dross sand,

my love

pays the silent ferryman

what haunts my love

as the ferryman’s skiff skitters

over waters endless, dark and deep?

is it the oaths made one to the other

that my love and your love
have yet to keep?

or is it the shadowed souls looking on
as my love starts to weep?

but even sorrow eventually

meets its end

for it is

exhaustion’s favored friend

my love lies still now

on the bone dry beach
of an alien land

awaiting your love’s regretful approach

with a soul smeared face
and a still open hand

I too feel the whiplash of Chronian Pan!
The sharp staccato beats

of horn’ed head
and clove’ed feet

Lifting my pulse

Away

From reason’s too sharp seat

bean dip, you are so good
bean dip, I love you
bean dip, come closer

and bring the chips

unwittingly my soul approached
the event horizon of her hate
it felt the gentle tides
the ceaseless tug
the swirling of other souls sucked in
but it did not listen
not to sour words said by others
not to the whimpering solar wind
not until the fateful moment had passed
not until tidal forces began to grate
did the realization sink in
deep and sharp
amongst the all encompassing dark
that it was far, far too late
